Would you buy a diamond, knowing that you support violence and murder?

Conflict or blood diamonds fuel conflict, civil wars and violations of rights. They were responsible for funding recent conflicts in Africa, killing and displacement of millions of people. In During these conflicts, profits from the illegal trade of diamonds, worth billions of dollars have been used by the lords of the war and rebels to buy arms. Diamonds have also been used by terrorist groups like al-Qaeda to finance their activities and to launder money. As the brutal conflict in Sierra Leone shows, even a small amount of conflict diamonds can wreak havoc in a huge country. Even now, up to 23 million of conflict diamonds into the legitimate diamond trade annually from Cote d-Ivoire in West Africa. After having read this, you still would buy a diamond? I will not buy a diamond, even id they say is not a diamond Blood. If you agree with me, star my question. Thank you!

I hoped the film Blood Diamond and the information is put out there that most people boycotting the diamond industry. You can buy diamonds from other countries like Canada where the industry is carefully monitored and human suffering is not a common biproduct.
