A few weeks ago a friend of mine and I went shopping. He was looking to see if he could get an engagement ring price. He had been looking around for quite some time, but had never been to the jewelry store that I suggested. He was very pleased with the cost and decided to buy it. It was an exquisite ring and I am sure his girl friend will love it. He plans on proposing to her over the weekend while they go away to their lake house. I am not sure what he has planned, as he refused to tell me that part. I am so excited for him.

I have this friend that I have known since I was 5 years old. We are really close and she tells me everything. She has this feeling that she is going to be getting engaged soon and went window shopping one day and saw this 2 carat diamond engagement ring. I asked her if she really thought her boyfriend would propose with a ring like that. She said he would, as he has already been talking about buying her an expensive ring. A few hours later after talking to my friend, she calls back and said her boyfriend must have read her mind, he just proposed with that exact same ring she had her eye on. I am so happy for the both of them and that my friend got the ring she was wishing for.

My friend and his girlfriend have been dating for many years. They have been seeing each other since they met in the 8th grade. My friend finally decided to propose to his girlfriend a few weeks ago. Everyone was so excited, because we all thought that he should have proposed many years ago. My friend said that he wants to build engagement ring that is unique and that no other lady will have on her finger. Wow! His finance must be so excited. It was his engagement gift to her. She wants her to have the best ring that anyone could ever dream of and he is wiling to pay whatever it costs to make it. What a luck gal.

Bought a Gorgeous Ring Off the Shopping Channel

I frequently browse the home shopping channels on TV. I never know what might spark my eye. The other night I saw they were selling pave diamond rings. The one ring had different colored stones around the band, it was absolutely gorgeous. There was another ring that had graduated stones that went around the band, they got bigger as they got near the top of the band. My husband walks in the room and wonders why I am watching because I was getting excited over everything. He told me that if I found something I absolutely loved and was a reasonable price to go ahead and get it. I was shocked. I ended up ordering the one with different colored stones around the band.

I went to an estate auction this past weekend. There were all sorts of items there and oh so many people. It was so crowded, it was hard to move around and look at the items I wanted to bid on. I did manage to find a lot of Vintage Diamond Rings that all appeared to be in good shape. I decided to stick around and bid on that lot. I could not believe how high they went for, way out of my price range. I guess those bidders sure knew what those rings were worth. I wonder what they are going to do with them at the price they bought them for.

I know some people that only make minimum wage and that barely gets them any decent diamond ring. Knowing ahead of time these and do not forget to take into consideration what she brings to the table. That is a big factor in knowing if you are just going to spend just the 20 percent of your annual gross income or if you will spend more than the 20 percent of your annual gross income. So in order to calculate what to spend for an engagement ring always consider that the expected amount is 20 percent of your annual gross income and I would add another 10 percent to that if she really and truly deserves it. I was thinking of a plain platinum band ring for me and a plain gold band for my fiance? or instead of a plain platinum band I would get a diamond paved band, since I don’t want an engagement ring, I would just be wearing my wedding band. What color are your wedding bands? By the way I already discussed this with my fiance.

Mine are both 18k gold, and don’t get platinum it will wear out quickly. Congrats on the engagement,
